I cant get over the b/s going on that Chelsea "kidnapped" a Man Utd potential player, what kind of tripe is going on there. Chelsea has got some guevos to do it if its true, then again, i dont believe a thing that comes out of Manchester

The Valancia players that we have been linked with that I dont think Rafa will go for:

Mista, signed a new contract with Valencia in January.

Aimar, could he and Garcia play in the same team?

Ayala, Old, and past his best.

Albelda, his in his 30s and is a decent player, but no better than Hamann

Canizares - About 36 years old.

Yeah, that Nigerian player? I heard about that one, apperently it's a done deal although Alex Ferguson was supposed to fly out and meet the player, he was nowhere to be found so Man Utd reckon he's in talk's with Chelsea. Thing I don't understand is, if he's agreed a deal with Manu, how can Chelsea do that? The only thing I can imagine is that Ferguson has pretended it was a done deal to keep other hands off the player.

I don't think our board has ever made a habbit out of annoucing or leaking information regarding transfer funds, and rightly so, only idiots do this, like Doug Ellis.

I am not worried at all about transfer funds, people seem to forget we are still a big club, with a huge revenue.

My guess is that we will have somethink close to 30MIL in tranfer funds avilable plus anythink from player sales.

But we must not forget that it cost to sell players, the players that leave, who don't put in tranfer requests, will get very hansom payoffs related to the length and magnitude of their contracts.

Reaching the CL final obviously wasn't expected so suddenly we've got all this extra dosh the board hadn't planned on. Don't know how much we'll get but it's sure to be a tidy sum

Also I think when players are mentioned maybe we should suggest how they will fit in. I think we all agree that Rafa prefers the following system:

           GK

    RB CB CB LB

         CM CM

     RM  AM  LM

            CF

I was just thinking which players are absolutely guaranteed to be part of the first team squad next year, and this is what I came up with:

Finnan
Riise
Cisse
Garcia
Alonso
Morientes
Carson
Carragher
Pongolle (he wont be fit until October, so we wont know where he stands)

That’s only 9 players we can be sure that will be here next season, it not a nice position, ideally we would have about 19/20 players that we could be sure would be here next season.

But we all obviously expected this, what with all the useless junk in the squad and a new manager at the helm.

at a guess, according to Sky info, i'd say we have earnt 40 million getting this far....if we win i think we would get another 20 million!  And thats before you start to add up the sponsorship extras.
