I won't be posting on the cricket (not that anyone here cares) until monday, because i will be at the only pub i know that's showing the game. (over here)

but after today:
AUS  244 and 1/119 (36.0 overs)
ENG    215

My unbiased, totally educated opinion is, england are fucked. well and truly. I can't see this going into the final day, i'd be delighted if it did (3 solid days on the p.iss woo woo :D )

I'll eat my words if i'm wrong.

bugger, it has gone to the final day. I got it wrong.

Amazing stalling from the english batsmen. Still think you'll need a miracle.

Well you have pieterson and flintoff at the crease so i suppose anything can happen.

But Warney should come into his own today.

Its gonna be cracker today. wish i was still in the pub, but i gotta work today. Games starts in an hour.

Good luck Ingerland, C'mon Australia!!!!!!!!   :buttrock

Absolutely embarrassing, only KP, Colly, Monty & Hoggy can hold their heads up............ A radical rethink is required of the ECB now.....

What a waste of royal honours.

They got rewarded for winning the Ashes (IE: praying for rain and bad light) and we got nothing for conquering Europe (in the non-Hitler way).

Merry Christmas everyone.

The first of the dead rubbers starts tomorrow. England should play a much more relaxed game. I don't think there will be any major batting collapses in this one.

Big game for Warney and McGrath, with warne set to take his 700 wicket in front of his crowd and his farewell. McGrath & Warne both legends in their own right, amazing they both played in the same era. I don't think australia will produce another fast bowler like Glenn, one annoying fast bowler to face, accurate and probing, combined with Warney at the other end, its no wonder australia has done so well.
Warne is just a freak, and has been ever since his debut.

Good Luck England, but i hope you don't spoil the send off.

Er, Babu, don't count your chickens mate.... Nothing surprises me now with this bunch. I get the impression they're just havin' a 4 month jolly up down under.
Apparently, on Boxing Day morning, 3 hours before the 4th Test started, Kevin Peitersen went to a "Gentlemen's Sporting Breakfast" with Warne and McGrath, they all did a bit of a speech for a few quid and then went to the MCG for the game!
They're taking the p*ss out of the Barmy Army, those guys have spent thousands to go out and watch them....

All over inside three days - f*cking pathetic! There's rumours that there's unrest in the camp, dunno whether to believe them or not but to lie down like we have in this match is shocking. After the Perth Test, Flintoff said that we were "playing for pride now".......... if this is playing for pride I can't wait till they go to the Caribbean for the World Cup in March, another 4 week holiday in the sun lads? don't mind if I do!!!

CardinalRed,

as you know i have not seen any of the play since boxing day due to the quake. but according to a mate of mine (he generaly is objective) aside from the poor batting, the field placing by flintoff have been abysmal. You had 4 on the rope facing warne? and then you bowled to his off stump?.. anyway good luck in the next one, you're really gonna need it.
