I had to look MDMA up (ecstacy). I feel like I must be the only person over 18 in Britain ,never to have taken or smoked drugs, apart from nicotine and alcohol.

and I have never had a hobnob or a fig roll or even a mince pie! :(

The Lando Griffin biscuit catalogue and rating system:

Arrowroot: Like eating cardboard. Only eaten when there are no alternatives. The soldier no-one likes, but does his job dutifully. Lance-Corporal.

Borbon Creams: SOme are OK, others are rank. Not really a big chocolate fan, but partial to the odd one. Corporal.

Custard Creams: An all-rounder, incapable of rising to the top of the ranks due to lack of drive. Underachieving Sergent.

Digestives: King of the all-rounders. BAsic, sturdy and trustworthy. A good choice for the insecure. Likeable Captain.

Hob Nob: Popular choice, but lacking in the taste department. Like eating straw. Colour Sergent.

Jammy Dodgers: Childish, yet fun. Will never be a high-end achiever, but always good for a laugh. Staff Sergent.
Happy Faces: Creamy Gods. The king of the biscuit empire, and Lord over all the other snacks. MAster of his art, and evergreen conquerer. General.

Fig Rolls: Brother-in-Law of Happy FAces, and slightly less powerful. Still a good choice, with the second highest ranking. Luitenant General.

Chocolate Digestives: Women's digestive. Not a man's biscuit. Sergent Major.

Nice biscuits (Pronounced, "Neece" after the French City): A good choice if you want a dry one. Colonel.

Ginger Nut: THe Chris Evans of the biscuit world, only slightly less annoying. A biscuit should not be spicy. Corporal.

Garibaldi: This is NOT a biscuit. For a cheaper alternative, stick your clagnuts between 2 sheets of Frosties box cardboard and chew. Dishonourable discharge for being sh*t.

To be continued at a later date....

Yes I know what you mean, if you have had a mammoth biccy dipping session, when you drink your tea, you have to be careful or you get the break aways in your last mouth of tea and its minging, then you got no tea left to wash it down!!!

Beware of the breakaway!!

Daxy - I have too sampled that fine biccy and I am a big fan, it melt in ya mouth a bit and it is scrump diddly um!!   I get paid tonight, so at 12.00 on me way home I shall nip into the tescos in the north end and see if I can find these elusive dream makers!!!

Hob nobs for me, the chocolate coated ones.

Babu, does the term 'biccys' come from disco biscuits, thats MDMA over in the U.K ?

Speaking of different use of words between the English and Oz's.

A thong over here is a smelly piece of rubber worn on the foot, over in England its a sexy, purfume scented  :eyebrow  piece of underwear.  :D
