i'm seriously thinking of trading in my BT connection for the 8MB £5 per month sky option. Anyone know if its going to be worth the jump?

I've got Sky TV.  Then what do you have to do?

There is also a free 2mb option it seems.  That'll do for me.

Seems it costs you £40 to turn it on (a likely story) but saying as I'm paying £18 a month, it'll soon pay for itself.

I guess you go to this site and register.

With me not having sky I don't know but you can get it from that link by registering.

Fuck that off then.

I've got unmimited bandwidth and I'll keep my 2MB connection for that condition.  I download a lot of stuff.

apparently the sky software bundle includes a peer-to-peer thingy that shares your bandwidth with other users. the bloke who told me is an IT monkey and he says it's a bitch to remove

it's not automatically available in all areas either, i got a letter off them the other day saying it's not available over here yet

thats what i use to think.  I have 2MB unlimited, but i don't honestly download 40 gig a month...at least not anymore.

Nothing is free in this world. They'll probably stick in litttle charges that would amount to the normal price of broadband.
