Birmingham vs liverpool - Predictions

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Thu May 06, 2004 2:11 pm

this is an absolutely MUST WIN GAME for liverpool football club. so expect houllier to be negative and play owen upfront on his own again, whilst trying to nick a goal on the break. i would personally start with the team that started the second half on sunday.

it's not going to be a classic by any means. birmingham are very difficult to break down as they showed at highbury last week. however they are the lowest scorers in the top half of the premiership so i can't see there being many goals.

henchoz is a doubt so i expect jamie to continue at centre back with finnan at right back. smicer is also out so i expect heskey to replace him, even though i would like to see baros start.

                                        dudek

                finnan        carragher      hyypia        riise

               murphy        hamann        gerrard       kewell

                                 owen           heskey

1-0 liverpool. owen to score. big games call for big players. :)

Liverpool to win easily enough... Brum have nothing left to play for
“It was my first of the season, my last of the season, my best of the season and the one I will remember for ever.”

- Vladi Smicer after scoring in the CL Final

"I'm not a believer in fate..... until tonight, they're going to win it!"

this one will go our way cos i think we've gained confidence from the last 2 wins. even though i don't agree with gh saying we're back to our best i still think we'll win itcos it looks like he let them know how important it is:
away banker 0-1
love it if we beat them
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

1-0 although i'm not over confident.

We have to win, with the team listed above i think we clearly have the ability to win this one.

We need a big game from Owen, Hyypia and Gerrard. Heskey and Riise need to play well also.

I really do believe we are going to win this game 2-1. Owen to score both goals for me.

I'll go against 100 % in here who predicta  Liverpool win and say either 1-1 or 0-0 . I've sen too many false dawns this seaon, too mnay "we have turned the corner" comments and although i desperatly hope I'm wrong i think Brum will raise their game. Its PREM survival guarnateed for Brum and a carnival atmosphere wil prevail on Saturday and they will get something i suspect  :(

I Reckon Villa wil DRAW and Newcastle will win ..........
