Can we lock this thread.. Besty's had all the condolences he's gonna get on these pages.. lets not totallly shame ourselves when others come-back on and post there pennys worth  :no

I agree. I thought this was CONDOLENCES FOR GEORGE BEST obviously not :Oo:

im 100% with leonn on this one.

why all the false sentiments. the only loss i can see is for people who had shares in breweries. i dont care how good a footballer he was. he does not deserve all the atention he is getting on the news.

why did the headlines not say "alcholic, wife beating ex footballer died today after totally wasting the second chance he was given at life".

people need to stop whinging and see people for what they are. we had the same wi Di and the pope with people who really couldnt give a toss before their death suddenly jumping on the bandwagon.

so what he was good with a football, if he lived next to me he would have been educated into how to behave

I just notice that the topic header had been changed.

I also notice that I took Leon out of context. Leon did in fact pay his respects to Best's family at the outset and just confined his comments to Best himself.
