no comparison really. ronaldo is an out and out winger, garcia is a hole player. stick garcia out on the right and he doesn't look that great, use him in the hole and he makes things happen. stick ronaldo in the hole and i bet you he's not going to look anywhere near as good as he does on the wing. he's a fast, talented, exciting player who can make any fullback look an idiot on his day - but i'd say he has nowehere near the vision of garcia.

^ I honestly think spotty would do a much better job in the hole than Garcia.

He has everything you want from an attacking point of view , and has more in his locker than Garcia . He could make that look like his natural position if he wanted.

i'm gonna carry on disagreeing with you mate! ronaldo is a great young player and i'd love to have him on the right for us, but his style is very direct, which is perfect for what he does. he's got a few tricks up his sleeve which he uses to throw a defender off balnace or send him the wrong way but thats only to make sure he can get past him, thats what his game is all about. playing in the hole isn't about going past a player and its something you'll rarely see garcia do. playing in the hole is all about vision and awareness, something that is more instinctive tham learned, and i really don't think that ronaldo - for all his qualities - would necessarily be able to make that change to his game.

anyway - this was never meant to be a 'compare garcia and ronaldo' thread was it? in short - i'd have the guy in my team like a shot, probably ahead of simao if that was ever a choice.

Ronaldo is a one trick pony without any end product whereas Garcia is a no trick pony with an end product....sometimes.

ronaldo rocks but if we brought simao and joaquin would you still want ronaldo or in the other guys point of view the extra 14 million pund buy garcia he was worthlos what do you think?

Its hilarious the way he dribbles past J.Cole leaving him looking lost.

Ronaldo would have been brilliant for us ,at £4-5 million can't understand why Houllier didn't snap him up , maybe it was because the lad didn't speak french :angry:
