wrighty (not mark!) wrote:If that is the case why he was sold then fair enough, however, it would be great to see them both in the same team in terms of passing ability.

it would have been really nice to see alonso and murphy together, but if you can look at it this way that if we havn't sold murphy we might not have bought alonso(not 100% sure!!)

Wrighty, didnt aim that comment at you about this is a way to critise one of Rafas decisions, its just if things was going well we wouldnt be discussing this at this moment in time. I know your pro Rafa mate, but some people will see it as a chance to have another go at Rafa and say how much of a mistake it was, u know wot its like at times give people half a chance and they will have Rafas head off.

Murphy has been great for Charlton lately  no-one can argue with that!
Most players hit a great run of form like he has at times in their career but it wont last forever.
I dont think all Charltons success of late is down to murphy's form! Its just seems the team have been working hard on reading eachother and seem to know what murphy will do when he gets the ball!!
Curbishly deserves repect for doing this and making the team gel so well, but id say a few injuries will show charlton exactly how good they are soon!

Personlly i think Raffa was right to sell him! when he was told he'd have to fight for his place he chose to leave rather than stay and prove himself!
And for those who say he can play on the wing  and he could have filled in?
Well i could play on the wing and fill in it does'nt mean im a fuc'kin winger does it?
Liverpool need an out and out natural winger not the likes of Murphy filling in!
No point looking back now anyway, what happens if henchoz plays out of his skin for the next 4 wks ???
Will we all ask ourselves should we have sold him?

it is about time that liverpool fc and our support of it, became crystal clear over the fact that, though these players, ie murphy, zenden, traore, biscan, your smicers,le tallec, diao, baros and the dioufs of this world are 'good' if not great. they musnt now be viewed with the misconception that they are any better now than whilst in the red of LFC. its just a case of horses for courses, starkly. and for all the plaudits danny murphy deserves at charlton currently, id like to bet there will be as many shouting for his head.eventually. so, yes its great for the lad and all, but lets stop dredging up these future zidanes and start procuring 'true' gems. and not necessarily polished ones either. unless they happen to be vieira's to be.  :)

danny murphy now, in his current form, would be an asset to our first team. if he were here and if playing like he is.(allowed to play) where he does.....yes he would do 'damage'
but consistantly so?  nope.

however, its interesting to wonder whether he might have stayed on, what the impact would have been under rafa's tutiledge.

Would you care to rephrase that, due to the fact that it's not even a word?

i loved him, he was once (can't remember which season) the second mid-top-scorer
since he was sold already, i don't care whether it was wrong or right to sell him
life goes on

Whats with all this talk about Murphy?

Next time Reina makes a mistake there will be a thread on here asking if we should have sold Ray Clemence to Spurs
