Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher today committed their long-term futures to Liverpool Football Club when both signed extensions to their existing contracts. 
The two local Kop favourites are now tied to the club until 2009.

Still need to be convinced that Gerrard's head is clear.  I think I'm entitled to say that.  I know he says he will stay forever but hand on heart, I wouldn't be surprised if clubs will still be sniffing round him this time next year regardless.  You know how the press like to pick on us because we're Liverpool.

Carragher.  Well, need I add more?  He'll never leave.  He's one of us.
