I think players run their contracts down on purpose as they make so much going to another club for free, we could never offer that much to him in salaries. So we cannot really blame the club for allowing the contract to run down as there was nothing they could have offered that would have compared to what he will get from Madrid. The only way a player like that stays is because he wants to stay for loyalty to his club. I don’t blame him for going to great weather and playing in front of 100k fans, as racist as they may be. I can see his attacking play really excelling as he hits his prime.

He’s a nice guy and deserves what he gets. Still, won’t be a club legend like Gerrard if he leaves in his prime, similar to Keegan unless he does something stupid like play for ManUre or City in which case we shift him to the Owen bracket (one notch above the El Hadji Diouf bracket)

Surely to God we’re not going to mess about and let him go on a free next summer. He is only 26. We cannot make that mistake again. I know it works both ways but Trent owes a lot to LFC and the very least he could do is sign a contract and then be sold in the same way as Suarez so that we can receive the best possible price. Hopefully the lad has a little bit more about him than Mbappé who is simply out for every single penny he can possibly get !! My view is if Trent doesn’t sign a contract before January we should sell him in the winter transfer window. Even Trent accepts that Bradley is a decent replacement. Gomez is also a reasonable back up.

TAA stats in the Premiership so far this season are Goals 0 Assists 1.

Am I the only one who doesn't care that much what happens with Trent? The only thing I'm bummed about is that if we lose him we're gonna lose him for nothing, and that he's going to Real, as big a rival as Man City is to us in my book.
