Could so easily have been 2-3 at the end. Leao stuffed our right back all night, TAA and then Gomez

He spent most of the time being invisible

He did very little bar the shot at the end

That was a good response to the weekend. Created far more opportunities and chances tonight. Could have ended up with a few more but important thing was the win. Going behind so early could have rattled us but we handled it well.

Van Dijk or Grav Motm for me. Dom and Gakpo also had good games. Konate as well.

Milan where poor tbh but I see that as more of a Milan problem than ours!!

Great win  :buttrock

A lot  of credit has to be given to LIVERPOOL for what appeared to be a poor performance by Milan. LIVERPOOL played with an attitude that would’ve caused any team in the world very severe problems. Let’s face it with a slightly more obliging crossbar and better finishing the score line could have been an even greater embarrassment to Milan. The noise created in the stadium by the PA system was absolutely ridiculous and certainly did not seem to have the desired effect as far as Milan were concerned.

Great result. Excellent performance. Well done lIVERPOOL !!

We played well BUT to be honest the current Milan are not the giants of old, to me they look more like a current day Man Utd of the Italian league, i.e. got players of doing something but they don't  :D

As for our lads ? I've been a fan of Tsimikas but thought his performance last night was gash, can't wait for Robbo to return. As for Jota ? maybe I have to watch re-runs of the game but I don't actually remember him doing anything of significance in the game.

Can't complain about the result, a well deserved win for our lads , just not going to get carried away , maybe I'm still chewing my teeth about the result of the game v Forest.  :veryangry

Well said. Both Tsimikas and Jota were awful last night. Did the former actually get a single shot on target? I know he maybe had nosebleeds that far up the pitch but a pro footballer should at least get it on target. Jota's sitter defined his whole game.

Credit to the players, after getting their bubble burst big time by Forest on Saturday they could have easily fallen apart given Milan's turbo charged start to the game Tuesday night but they didnt panic and reacted in exactly the right way. Okay we are not talking the Milan of Baresi, Maldini, Van Basten, Gullit et al here but at the same time we are not talking a bunch of mugs either especially on their own patch. Plus lets not forget in this new format there's no return fixture at Anfield either so despite being at a disadvantage the players were under a fair bit of pressure to get the job done which they did.
3-1 is a pretty comprehensive scoreline away from home and it could have easily been a lot more if Mo and Diogo would have had their shooting boots on so as far as i'm concerned Tuesday's performance was a good response to a shocking result Saturday.
Well done to Arne and the lads.

Simply we do well against teams that play a high line and struggle to break down teams that park the bus. Against Forrest we had two chances in the first half where we could have scored had the player made the proper pass.

Few things more annoying in life than when a player has the chance to give his team mate a tap in but decides to go for goal himself and misses, Diogo did it Tuesday.  Feel like booting the telly in when it happens, clear case of a player playing for himself instead of the club that pays his wages.
