Just reading about it. Nothing to read into it.
I think even the tealady got the last 5 minutes, there were so many changes. Endo coming on twice  :D

It was more of a training game but we still lost it and never looked like the team to win it. We had plenty of experience on the field as well so can't use that as an excuse, doubt Preston were at full strength either.

This American tour is a worry. We will be still finding our feet against better opposition and 2 of them are against our rivals. The only time we should play those sides is when we are obligated to. Never in a friendly imo.

It was their third match and our first, that makes a difference. I didn’t watch it but apparently we has all sorts of chances including hitting the bar and they had one shot on goal.

I’m more concerned about the lack of transfers and whether the new players can do a whole preseason to be at the same speed as the rest of the team when we start the season.

Result doesn't mean anything but we still should have done better. We had loads of chances but same story in couldn't finish them off.

Disappointed with our transfer activity tbh but think it might be that we are waiting to see who's going first. Need to see quickly what is happening with Trent, Virg and Salah. Looking back to the last home game and how emotional Trent was I think he knew or thought it would be his last for us.

Out of those three Trent is who I’d keep first

I stayed up to watch it last night, it was finished by about half two so it wasnt too bad. We played okay, it looks like we are going to eff around with it at the back under Arnie which wont be great for my ticker but the likes of Van Den Berg and Kelleher looked assured in possession to be fair to them. Going by last nights showing Van Den Berg is deffo worth keeping, the lad is 2 footed and if thats the way we are going to play then you want CB's who are comfortable in possession like him.
Indeed once Virgil and Konate return i wouldnt even mind seeing the lad getting a run out as a DM.

Delighted Slot got his first win under the belt and its refreshing to see a different approach from us. We didn't really have a great selection to pick from but we still did enough to see it through. Not much change as in we still dominate play/possession but still look lost up front with the final pass or shot. Formation wise it looked 4,3,3 but without the ball it looked either 4,4,2 or 3,5,2 with extra bodies coming into midfield. Sooner we get all the players back the better.

Not impressed with Elliot or Jones at all. Both look totally out of their depth. Endo was awful as well and hasn't the legs to play that position for us. My first time seeing Van De Berg play as well and thought he did ok. Arsenal next which will be much tougher but with any luck we should have a few more available for that.

I didn’t stay up to watch it and tried to watch it in the morning on LFCTV but my internet was sticky so it was hard to follow. What I did see was changing formations depending on the ball and that will take time for players learn so it’s instinctive. He seems to tinker more like a Pep than a Klopp.
