Both top albums, woof.
I've still got them on Vinyl and they kick the CD recordings in the teeth.
Listen to them on the black stuff mate...... always sounds better and brings back memories of a misspent youth.

Like listening to "Another One Bites The Dust" backwards. You can't do that with a CD.

Never tried it mate. You'd need to reposition the arm on your deck as well as reverse the polarity on the motor to do it. Just too much of a hassle for me.
Did you really hear anything playing it backwards or is that just another urban myth?

It says "it's fun to smoke marajuana". Record players of old, you could just put the needle on the record and manually turn the record backwards - none of that reversing the polarity nonsense.

Four pages and not one mention of Purple Rain?
What the f*ck like?
Oh, and I'm gonna throw this out there, but I think Nirvana were seriously overrated, and Kurt Cobain was just a w@nker that blew his loaf off. What a waste. I mean, their most famous song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was actually about a anti-perspirant. Says it all, really.

Brilliant, brilliant album mate.
Absolutely love it...... if you get the chance, listen to the Machine Head album as well their live album, Made in Japan. My all time favourite live recording.
Music at its rawest and soul moving form.
Ritchie Blackmore maybe an absolute moody tw@t and may not be the most technically gifted guitarist but he is by far the most emotive one I've ever heard.

Pearl Jam - 'Ten' is the undisputed winner for me. As for the other 9 I think it would take me a whole day to figure them out but a few I would initially throw into the mix include;
Oasis - 'Definitely Maybe'
Pink Floyd - 'Dark Side of the Moon'
The Verve - 'Urban Hymns'
Guns n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Oasis - 'Morning Glory'

i'll chuck my faves in - its ridiculous trying to say which is the best ever as its all about opinions. and most people's opinions on here are wrong. very wrong in fact.
so in no particular order;
nirvana - nevermind (and that song refers to a fragrance rather than being about it)
the fall - hex induction hour (and still going strong 27 years on)
the prodigy - experience (no album has ever so perfectly captured a style of music as well as this one, imo)
aphex twin - selected ambient works 85-92 (almost perfect)
black sabbath - we sold our soul for rock n roll
eno and byrne - my life in the bush of ghosts
love - forever changes
david bowie - heroes
fugazi - 13 songs
suicide - suicide
violent femmes - violent femmes
pixies - doolittle
shit - i could go on. its hard enough trying to stick to ten let alone pick the best one...

Scottbot, good shout with "Ten". Quality album.
GYBS, you can't have a greatest hits album in there, it's not allowed.

I've never got Radiohead. Loved the first album, with Creep and Anyone can play guitar... but after that I couldn't stand them.
Great list tho Dalglish, bit of Miles Davis to throw us off which is class.
