This thread was clearly a joke thread. I don't think any harm was meant.

I agree that zara's referrence to "caps and rucksacks" was ill thought out and in poor taste. I PM'd her and she replied climing that the comments were taken out of context.  According to her, the reference to 'rucksacks and caps' was based on football fans coming to watch games in the new gear and the new kit being a veil.

Also, the use of the word "infidel" in this thread was very much tongue in cheek and definitely not used in the manner a muslim extremist would use such a word.

Its nonsense. I've been called far worse and laughed it off.

Er, my kingdom for a horse.

Peewee, I see where you're coming from but I think you're over reacting. I know you say it's got nothing to do with your personal feelings towards Zara, but it’s pretty difficult to put that aside and I'm sure it's coming into your thought process.

Metalhead's thread as a starter is perhaps a little juvenile, but hardly offensive IMO. Zara's comment is pretty stupid, but I think she meant it in jest. A warning about making the remark would more than suffice.

If both are banned it sets a dangerous precedent IMO, as anything deemed as offensive should then warrant an immediate ban? I think perhaps due to the subject matter and its sensitivity at the moment you are reacting the way you are? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Lando, Judge, Barry etc make tons of comments which could easily be deemed as offensive yet aren't banned for them, as they are mostly in jest and most people see the funny side of them. One which springs to mind is Lando's comments on Franco in the Barca thread. They were pretty misguided and to a Spaniard or Catalan they would be more offensive than anything Zara and metalhead have said, yet you aren't pushing for him to be banned? If you are so for “ONE RULE FOR ALL” business then why should he not receive the same treatment? Obviously I’m not advocating that as Lando is a credit to this forum and a sound fella from what I can tell. What I'm saying is I feel you're over reacting due to a) the people involved and b) the subject matter.
