I'd go the quick route like many parts of the world, none of that years on death row the yanks do.

the lord chancellor's office and the department of public prosecutions has mooted the idea that anyone coming to britain and preaching hate and encouraging terrorism against the country could be charged with treason

treason, if i'm not mistaken, is the only crime which can still carry the death penalty under english law

of course the death penalty would never actually be dished out but it's an interesting point all the same

that was fazed out in 1998 woolly, the death penalty for treason that is.

i think that only killing the monarchy (ie: the queen only), actually carries the death penalty today.
