I am using xp media edition at the moment (almost a month)Sabre, after using xp pro for a good few years, I didn't really expect too much in the way of changes, but to be honest I havn't been impressed with xp Media Edition at all, up to now. Maybe its what you get used to, but I hate the way it tries to make decisions for you, loads things up that I usually dont want to use etc, if the Vista is anything like this I may even decide to go back to xp pro

Well provided that we know that Vista will require a 3D accelerator card in order to run, you can assume they've put yet another level between the user interface and the OS core.

They are trying to make a friendly interface for people who knows fĂșck all about computers, and that means that the OS must figure out what the user wants in order to make the translation to what the computer understands -- ultimately 1 and 0.

But do try it :)

i would wait until it's been out for a while. I normally wait until the first service pack has been released before i upgrade.
