I'm a bit of a philistein when it comes to films (basically i don't really watch foriegn films)but i watched Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon last week .I watched House of the Flying Daggers this week on channel 4 and they were both brilliant films. The fight scenes in both films are like a work of art , absolutly amazing films.

Also the young girl (didn't catch her name) who's in both film is tasty as fook , and she would give the vorinator a decent workout , she properly kicks botty all over the place.

Igor, if you like Zhang Ziyi, you may also want to see The Banquet. Kind of similar stroy like Hamlet, but in a different way.

Yeah, Igor he was in one of the Lethal Weapon movies, can't remember which one , probably 4 ?. he was still trying to break into "Hollywood" at that time despite being a massive star in Asia.

Google his name for a biography . He's not the best actor you'll ever see but his mastery of martial arts is mindblowing.

"If this was Hong Kong , you would be dead"  . Jet Li's lines in the lethal weapon 4 film, that's all he said i think. :D

Watched Triangle yesterday, a new Hongkong film. The biggest selling point of this film is it’s directed by three of the best Kongkong directors in a relay without a script. Hark Tsui set the start of the story, then Ringo Lam developed it in his own way, and finally Johnnie To put all things to an ending as he wished. The story is basically about a fight for an ancient treasure, mixed with loyalty and betray, revenge and choice, etc. I should say it's beyond my expectation (because my expectation with it was too low :D )

twin warrirors is my fave jet li film. 1993, co starring michelle yeoh, is got a lot of shoalin soccer in it, but absolute class. one film i saw recently was PTU directed by teh genius that is johnny to (has anyone seen 1999s the mission? woof, u gots to see that)

PTU is basically about a cop who loses his gun, gets his mates to help, has to fight two triad gangs, imagine lock stock but not as funny but very gritty. a great film

Twin Warriors was an edited version released in the west Dawsino , the films original title is "The Tai Chi Master".
Disney (?) had the distribution rights outside of asia, in addition to changing the title they cut/censored a minute or two out of the big fight scene at the end of the movie .

My favourite of the old Jet Li films is Fist of Legend his remake of Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury. Some great combat against the Japanese.

Haven't seen PTU yet, will make a note. I'm also waiting for Princess Aurora but my hk supplier is presently out of stock .

One to look out for one day is Bakjwi, byt chow wook pak (he made old boy...and is a genius)

all we know so far is that its gonna be his take on the vampire genre

Talking of the supernatural. Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh are currently filming Tomb of the Dragon Emperor aka The Mummy 3. Set for release next summer. Should be fun :) .

The above is actually the very first picture available of The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and it looks to be doing alright.

Adventure, humor and action is expected by it, and mostly pure entertaining. With the same cast such as Brendan Fraser and additions such as Jet Li it can only get better.
