The slang word for Terrapin adopted by the students of the University of Maryland is "Terp". The official mascot of the University of Maryland is Testudo the terrapin turtle. The university also publishes TERP magazine.

my commencment is on july 12 and then I'm off to find me a job!! I tried to find some training in London, but they wouldn't give me a work permit unless I go directly to Masters and apply for a student visa (Im not in a hurry). Basically Im trying to find jobs in Dubai now.
Marketing eh? I'm getting a Degree in Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance.
Anyways mate, goodluck on your job search, the b@stards havn't replied yet (the ones I applied to).

We have told him not only that he is fired but that we are hiring you in his place. He left here in an uproar, swearing that he was "going to find (you) and crush (your) head like a walnut." (Some of us think he said "like a peanut," but most think he said "walnut.") If he shows up at your apartment, please explain to him that we were just kidding; we would never hire you.
