I also have 2 young daughters which will never be out of my sight, but i cant begin to think what the parents are going through. I wish them all the best in getting their daughter back home safe and sound. :nod

Woollyback wrote:i'm with mikz on this - i've got a 3 year old daughter myself and i just can't bear to think about what's happened to that poor little madeleine.

it's unfair the sh*t the portuguese police have taken about it though - let's face it these parents wouldn't go out for a meal at their local pub and leave a 3 year old and 2 year olds in bed at home, so why's it any different on holiday? it looks like they're gonna pay the ultimate price for their decisions, but they have to look at themselves for the blame, not pass it on to the police

agreed woolly, but what if the parents were asleep in the next room and the same thing happened. it doesnt matter how far away from them you are, you are still away even in the next room to them. And weve all heard how kids are snatched from home under the noses of parents.

paedophiles always find ways some how. i think these folks (the paedophiles i mean) should be executed for crimes against kids.

just my opinion

  No news the clothing they found yesterday wasnt Maddys., parents drove out of the police station with blankets over their head, she looks awful and very frail.
8 days today no clues or news what so ever.
No one has been arrested and no suspects in the McCann family.
8 officers have just returned to the crime scene.

Feckin awful

It's Absolutely Tragic, these things seem to happen too much in today's world. Whoever is responsible for this must be inhuman and without a heart.

Our thoughts are with her and her family, let's pray she is found somewhere somehow and soon.

What a farce this investigation is 8 days later the police are searching the hotel and apartment block, people have checked out every day since she has been missing and the cleaners had cleaned all of the rooms on friday morning  :no
What evidence there was if any has well gone.
An investigator from the James Bulger case has said he reckons she was taken by boat on thursday night and she could be anywhere in the world by now.

This is very sad! my thoughts is with her family

I hope the police find her safe and sound, and bring down capital punishment on those who took her! humanity is a fricking disgrace!

Sad story, hope they find her alive and well, but I have to wonder why she was left alone by her parents in a hotel room.

Adorable looking kid, which I think may have been key to this whole thing. I just have a feeling this kid has been taken by professional criminals. There is a big trade in children around the world. Wealthy people will pay quite a lot for a healthy child. I think that's what happened to the boy in Greece several years ago. From what I've heard it's possible someone has been monitoring this girl for some time before making their move. It would certainly explain why only she was taken while the other kids in the room were not.

I agree with the comments about this kid being left alone, the time my kids are left alone are when there at school or in bed sleeping. On holiday the kids would never leave my sight so if that is the case then the parents have learned a sad lesson that not all is as was in the times you could leave your front door open during the day. However I do hold hope that she isnt hurt in any way and that whoever took her sees sense and take her back to her parents.
