he was trying to break the land speed record with a jet powered car. they do some crazy :censored: on that program, but of course hope the guy gets well soon, he's got a young family etc, so sending out good vibes

I've a mate at work who's friend works at the LGI (the hospital he's at in Leeds) and the word is that he's gonna be ok, he regained consciousness quite quickly after the smash and could feel pain all over which perversely, is a good thing... They reckon he's not as bad as first thought, so good luck to the little fella....

Just read on The Times Online that Hammond suffered "a significant brain injury" it goes on to say that "Doctors are optimistic he will make a good recovery".... Dunno what to make of that really?

probably means he`ll survive but have brain damage, so i guess it a matter of waiting to see to what extent.

Latest this morning is that he's out of Intensive Care and making "satisfactory progress" apparently Jeremy Clarkson's been quoted as saying the only visible injury is a Black Eye.... looks like the Hamster is gonna have a real war story to tell......

Its a fookin miracle he survived that crash, and if he is already out of intensive care thats another fooking miracle, I hope and prey he will be ok tho.

Just in from the BBC news site.... Richard Hammond is now on a General Ward and described as "stable" by Doctors.....
