I hate shopping but must admit even I succumbed to 5th avenue's temptations....

and so cheap as well :)

:(  Afraid shopping is the prime objective as far as Mrs Woof is concerned . She's already told me she's only taking an overnight bag on the outward journey as she can buy what gear she needs including a suitcase when she gets there  !!!  :down:  Noooooooooooooooooo sob .

Then you might wanna avoid the fancy Fifth Avenue shops and go to the outlets upstate.
It's a 1.5-hour drive (there are shuttle buses). The place is called Woodbury Commons.
Top designer stuff (trust me, I'm originally from Milan....  :cool: ) at a much much cheaper price.

Dunno if you've gone yet mate but I got back yesterday, weather was glorious, I've been 5 times now, you have to see the following:


Empire state building

Central Park (so relaxing)

Staten Island ferry (it's free and the best view of Manhattan)

Time Square (best at night)

Do the downtown tour at night, you can get it from Port Authority on 42nd St.

etc.
