I was thinking of Bali before but in the end decided on Thailand and Camobdia. Next year i'll do Bali and Vietnam.

I'm currently in Southern California.  Because that's where I live.  And it's fooking raining, which it almost never does in Southern California.  And I'm studying for finals.

Happy holidays :(

The food is good, I don't mind it. Typically Asian.

But beware, Bali is like Benidorm for the Aussies. And they all go on about "Bali Belly". Steer well clear from their water, don't even brush your teeth with it. Eat in popular restaurants and wash your hands with sanitizer  frequently. Or you may end up with a does of Bali Belly, which comes out at both ends. I've had, what I call 'Bali @rse' eating hot food and then burning your ring, making walking hard enough - on top of that the humidity makes you sweat around your sore @rsehole compounding the problem.

  :D

Spent 10 days on business in Bangalore recently. Didn't get ill or anything, but I reckon a curry a day - loads chillies naturally - contributed in no small part to an @rse like a Vietnamese flag by the time I came home
:D

Everyone that I know here in Oz who has visited has absolutely loved Vietnam.
From older former army mates who have gone over for R&R and bit of history, families who have gone over on tour and younger ones doing trekking adventure have raved about it

Only a few hours to go. I'll try and log on as often as I can to check and will deffo be wathching the footy over there. 7 hours time difference means I can watch them in the evenings before heading out.

Happy days... will post some pics when I get back but in the meantime here is my blog I have set up. I plan to keep this updated every day.
