Disgusted that people are planning a street party for Thatcher's death. We should wait three nights at the grave with stakes first.

Wil her death bring back the jobs and repair the families who were destroyed by her policies? Of course not, just the same way shooting Osama Bin Laden in the face isnt going to bring back all the people that died in the terrorist attacks his minions were behind. Im not comfortable with all this gratuitous flag waving over the killing/dying of another human being, regardless of our opinions on them. Al Queda is still in operation and the Tories are in government, and going by the weeks elections thats not going to change any time soon.

Will I shed tears over her? No, but Im not going to revel in anyones death either, because Im not a complete c*nt

Why though? Her death doesnt change anything, and it doesnt correct the past. I dont get it, the same as I dont get all the flag waving street parties during the week in the States over them killin yer man.

agree with MH, take it in whatever way you need. I ain't gonna celebrate, I ain't gonna mourn. She did the most difficult job there is, its absolutely impossible to please everyone, though she was in office for 11 years, says a lot

Enjoy the pint Igor, I'm sure a few on here said they'd pop a can or two when it happened, enjoy :)
