We're goin to Cyprus for the first time, Protaras by Fig Tree Bay, looks good but we're used to Menorca and I'm led to believe the heat is on a different level in Cyprus. Anyone got any good eaterie suggestions? Where are you guys goin?

Cyrus is nice, been once before years ago.

I'm going Thailand again later this year. Can't get enough of the land of smiles. Gonna check out Chiang Mai and the rest of the north this time and do me some 'mahout' training.

Being a classy sort of guy my hotel is booked within a km of both Lourve and Moulin Rouge so I can have culture and Can can girls in equal measure.
Then its flying over to States to Philly to catch up with a friend for couple of weeks and find out if Washington is Laundry captial of the world.
Then another three weeks exploring europe starting with a few days in Normandy. Then after that its basically whereever my train pass takes me

Had to cancel my trip to Thailand earlier this year when the missus did her back in, lost £1200 :(

The holiday kitty is topped up again but don't want to do Thailand in our summer. Currently considering Las Vegas  :buttrock

Falmouth is beautiful, back in 2005ish we were having a week in Newquay and decided to go Falmouth for the day. Parked the car outside the town and took the 'park and ferry' boat into the centre. The scenery was fabulous, the sea was a dazzling blue, the sun was crackin the flags, anyways we gets off the boat and we're feelin a bit peckish so we decided to have a nice meal in the Harbour Lights Fish and Chip Restaurant (just checked it on google maps), I'd ordered large cod and chips and when it came over I took an enormous bite and swallowed a huge fuckin fish bone that harpooned me throat half way down me gullet, christ on a fuckin bike it was scarey, couldnt move it, could hardly breath, wife and kids didnt know what to do and we're in the middle of Falmouth with the car 5 miles away. Ended up takin a taxi to the little hospital were some nurse set about me throat with a wooden spatula, heard the fecker spring out, she said it happens all the time down there. Never went back to Falmouth.
