Was me little lads seventh birthday last week, and me brother bought him this thing off of Amazon in the UK. I think it's this model but I'm not 100%. It's definately this make:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverl....&sr=8-1

Anway it's this mini helecoper made out of polystyrene, with a tiny little motor inside. You put batteries in the remote control, and there's a little wire you plug into the underneath of the helicopter and it charges it up. You need your glasses on a sit's a bit fiddly, but half an hours charging gets you about 5 minutes flying time. When it's flying, you get this blue light which flashes on the underneath of the thing, just like a real helicopter (like I've got loads of experience of such things).

Anyway, get one these things are absolutely fecking brilliant. Flying it outdoors is alright, but indoor flying is where it's at. I've got to be OK at it now and can fly it around the front room for a minute or so without crashing into anything, and have almost perfected the art of hovering it in front of the telly while the Mrs is trying to watch Americas Next top model. The wind-up possibilities really are absolutely infinite. I did flirt for a while with the idea of trying to hover it around Effie the dog's head, but she got that look in her eye and I think she was going to eat it so she's been banished out the back while I perfect the skills.

Me little lad is quite good at it too, although he is being somewhat held back I feel by the fact he has to share his flying hours with me while he's up. 'Course soon as he's gone to bed I can put some decent practice in.

Anyways if you haven't had a go on one you should, it's fecking great  :D .

i don't have one but i've been playing with my mate's one quite a lot (i'm talking about mini helicopters, of course, not penises, calm down everybody). they're so much fun and practically indestructible (and i'm still talking mini helicopters) - my 3 year old lad has perfected the art of crashing full pelt into walls and the thing still flies. (and yes, i'm still talking mini helicopters, sorry judge).

i bought a mini copter for my son and he loves it

there are many types of course.

back in the old days, helicopter modeling was an art. a lad on our street had one, it was massive (im talking helicopters andy - calm down). The helicopter was about 3.5 ft long and about 18 inch high. proper nice and fast.

shame he crashed it :D
