I recently downloaded and installed Windows service pack 3 for XP. Unfortunately it stops Media centre from working.

This is the fix if anyone is having similar problems (worked for me anyway  :)  )

Close Media Center
Click on the Start menu, choose run and type cmd
Execute the command regsvr32.exe atl.dll
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehSched /unregServer
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehSched /service
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRecvr /unregServer
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRecvr /service
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRec.exe /unregServer
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRec.exe /regserver
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehmsas.exe /unregServer
Execute the command C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehmsas.exe /regserver
Restart Media Center

The debugger in service pack one conflicts with the debugger in service pack three. Always a problem when two buggers get together ,something always ends up fkd.  :D

The spanish version isn't still available oficially but as always I'll wait 1 month at home and 3 months at work before changing anything. Hopefully it won't be as painful as the last service pack change.

It installs with no problems Sabre, just effects Media centre on INTEL comps, and totally fks up AMD comps  :D

Supposedly makes your computer 10% faster though.

Microsoft have stopped it being available for automatic download now, but its still available from their download site.
