I remember from the rugby world cup there was a little interest from various people, so thought I’d gauge interest and opinion for the 6 nations here.
I'm not a huge rugby fan - using your hands is just cheating, surely - but I do follow the international game and get quite excited round 6 nations time
Being English, I’m obviously gonna post most stuff about England, so I’ll start with the 15 that’s just been announced to play against Wales:
15 Iain Balshaw
14 Paul Sackey
13 Mike Tindall
12 Toby Flood
11 David Strettle
10 Jonny Wilkinson
9 Andy Gomarsall
1 Andrew Sheridan
2 Mark Regan
3 Phil Vickery
4 Simon Shaw
5 Steve Borthwick
6 James Haskell
7 Lewis Moody
8 Luke Narraway
REPLACEMENTS
16 Lee Mears
17 Matt Stevens
18 Ben Kay
19 Tom Rees
20 Richard Wigglesworth
21 Daniel Cipriani
22 Lesley Vainikolo
fairly happy with that – surprised with balshaw’s inclusion and tait’s exclusion

hello redman in wales
i'm welsh so i'm hoping to get one over on your boys this weekend but your lot will be very hard to beat, lots of new faces in the team but they are all very good
i'm hoping for a good game but have my worries!! we seem to have the whole offsprays team as are team very little options due to injurys and just not having the depth of players to choose from ( like england )
if we play like we can then i would like to think we will get the result but it will be a very tight game

after winning the tripple crown three times in four years (and beating England four years running) Ireland should be in contention, but a terrible world cup, friction in the squad (i think) and a manager that should be gone, I dont think we'll compete.

France will win it, there's no other real competition.

France look the only really good team.
Ireland are only a shadow of the team they were last year, I still expect us to win the triple crown again but don't see us beating France.
France for the grand slam

i can't understand why he changed they way you were playing from the first half ( just does not make sence )
how we only went in at 10-3 at half time is beyond me but i think your lot thought they had already won it when they came back out and once we got you on the back foot there was no one that could grab the game by the scruff of the neck and steady the ship
you could see the heads go down and we new if we just kept going we you had no defence ( not sure why )
as for the injurys that's bad news for you plus they might be citing jonny for a forearm hit so down 5 players in one game, not good news
i have to say i think they should have got rid of ashton after the world cup ( thank you very much heres a big lump of money and nice hand shake tat ta ) and started everything from new
but anyway lets hope you get it together and do the french

I think it is Ireland V France again for the grand slam but would only give us a 5/1 chance of winning that game. I'd be surprised if either side lost to anyone else.

One tough game ahead in Croke Park although the pundits in Wales reckon its better than the windy uncompromising hell that was Landsdone road
In a weird way they reckon that Wales wont mind the atmosphere as its nuts in the Millenium and the pitch and conditions are a lot better. Ireland play like loons over here so that wont bother us either
All pundits and ex players were united in their hatred for Landsdowne Road as a crazy place to go
