Would people like a new designed newkit forum? - Just a suggestion

Was looking at the RAWK site a while back and they seem to be keen on revamping the design of their RAWK site.

I just had a thought that wouldn't it be fun and something fasinating to regenerize this site.

Ok i'm no genius when it comes to computer design or anything like that, but im sure there are people on here who can do all that malarkey. And i think that it would be nice to see this site look more like a Liverpool supporting site, perhaps change the colour scheme to red, add a newkit logo, distinctive and recognizable etc, to celebrate this fantastic club and its heritage, as well as keeping it modern and fascinating.

It could also help attract more posters which through the "in between" thread some of you would accommodate to, i no i would.

Anyway leave your poll choice and explain why you chose that answer.

J.

Its merely a suggestion and I'm sure Mr Rundle would allow it to happen if he got all the files etc and all he needs to do is upload it and its all done.

I was just thinking Liverpool FC is moving with the times with it's new and stylish stadium and i think we're still ol' school with basic grey and white with a simple logo. It would be nice for a change and would help express some great ideas from our posters.

Just looking at people signatures its clear we have talented people who can use photoshop and all that stuff to create some good looking name tags. Why not use that skill to help the site look more prominent and exciting?

He's looking into it as far as I know.  Moving servers etc...  I think he's got some kind of test forum set up on some other server which me and Sabre had a sneaky look at a couple of months ago.

Just PM him.  He'll reply to you.

Aye. I've seen dozens and dozens of web sites and personal projects that ended up in a closed website due to the owner being tired, or dying of it's own success. I think it's not the case.

The new layout that we had tested is a paid one (you need licensing) on the contrary to this one, that is free like BBulletin boards. Making a step to a paying license isn't a sign of not being arsed for the users. He wanted to do that because it provided better services against spammers, and a better interface for writing .

He was opened aswell to our suggestions, so I really have to say that it's a bit unfair to comment he doesn't care. After all, how much do we pay? nothing. How much do we receive? well you all know how much you like this site despite the things that can be improved.

As for the "more red" interface, I think it can be easily done, but that's more the work of a graphic designer (jonnymac could help here) than a coder.

I dunno mate.  I like the grey.

As long as it's not fucking blue, I'm fine with it.

Grey is good for many reasons, not only it doesn't get your eye balls melting when you try to read over it, but it's also nice because  we often forget that there are thousands of people out there who can't distinguish properly many colours (cannot be arsed to look how's it's called that people in english).

But even in grey, I guess it can be customizeable some details like a faded LFC shield that can be put in the background and putting things like icons Liverpool related.

I think it needs a revamp. It needs to be a lot slicker too. There's too many sections - I only tend to look at Gen Chat and Liverpool Discussion. The pinned threads are mounting up too.

Make it all red, with a gold Liverbird symbol.

And white writing for text and posts.

Totally agree, I love it just as it is...

Admit I don't post half as much as other peeps, but I love this forum...don't think others can hold a candle to it!

And why fix what isn't broken...  :D
