she got pi$$ed off with all the WUM's we've had on here recently. she'll be back though. she's been posting on RAWK today.

whats RAWK like? - I've occasionally read things on there but i've never posted on there. I prefer the layout and order of things on here.

Over there they are full or arrogant cunts who are part of a clique that look down their nose at you because they've got however many thousands of posts. You get slaughtered if you post a topic that's already posted or if you disagree with one of their 'experienced' members.

They think they're great because they've got Tompkins.

Wow, this forum must be really bad if she preffers that at the moment.

I hope she's back soon. To be honest I haven't found a forum in my whole life in which there is not some sense of self-interest behaviour at some extent. It's almost natural that you start respecting the mates you're used to read day in day out, and you fall in that self-interest behaviour easily. For instance we all have learnt to respect Bigmick's footie posts, and if a newbie comes disagreeing in not a polite manner, the most likely thing we'll do is to put the newbie in his place.

It's also natural to get used to regular posters, you might like more or less the posters, but you like them being there, Ciggy, Woof, Andy G, BM, it's the mixt of the posters who gives a certain forum a personality and it's natural to miss them at some extent when they can't or they do not want to post.

I've known RAWK because I have been given a link to specific posts sometimes. It's a LFC forum and I like it a millon times more than any other club's forum. It's interface is a bit obsolete and backward though, I preffer this one. In the posts I've read I've seen some of that behaviour Adam describes, but decent posters too.

A big club like this one will have always at least 2 big forums, there's no point too make too much competition between the two, both forums have their own personality and that's nice in my book. While I read it sometimes I won't post there, now that you lot are used to my funny english mistakes

The last time she posted was in the Enough is enough thread. She said that her son has now started using the forum and she frighted that he would click one one off the porn links that the WUM's have been posting. You cant blame her really. I would class ciggy as a very good friend and I will miss her, but I'm hoping that she will return soon!

That concern is very understandable.

All I can say is that the mod staff + LFC admin are doing all their best they can to combat this. Both by adding more mods as they've done recently, and trying to cut off the signing up of p0rn robots. I think the problem will be sorted once and for all soon, or at least for a long period of time -- the spammers always try to find new methods to post their shíte.

Ive been dead busy lately getting my garden done, new kitchen and stuff to seel my house to go and live in Spain.

Havent really got time, the porn things and that on newkit aaron had put a topic on and it was a porn link, I got to the pc in time that he didnt watch it.
Its my job to protect him from such things he will find out about them things soon enough but I like to keep him innocent for as long as I can.

Plus I am not to pleased about the new MOD jobs I like Sabre but he isnt a Liverpool fan is he?
Should have gone to Woof TBH.
But its none of my business anyway.

Maybe I'll come back in a few months maybe not.

It's good to know that Sabre being a mod is mentioned among other problems such as porn links.

On a serious note I'm a mod to provide an administrative service to this forum. Being a mod is not being a Policeman. Being a mod, is not to be a boss of the forum. Being a mod is not a privilege. Whoever understands it that way, have no clue about what moderation of a forum is. And if one forum put people that feel like that in a forum as a mod, it's a question of not if but when the forum will lose lots of members and popularity.

As I've said, I don't see this as a privilege, a power. I do it because I want to help. But if that's really a problem, I don't have problems in resigning, because this are my main goals in this forum

1) Learn about LFC
2) Practise English
3) Post info if I feel it's relevant for the mates.

I don't need to be a mod to achieve my main goals here. So, Sabre will be a mod as long as the forum mates want it that way. I couldn't care less about being a mod or not, in fact, it's not very exciting to click repeteadly delete on the porn links.

I'm grateful to Ciggy because I like her too (:hearts :hearts

and all that ) and especially because she has been honest in saying she dislikes that decission. I like honest people and she has been. She didn't have to find a pretext like my signature had a RS flag, or I said "so :censored:

what". I respect you Ciggy, you had a more manly and valiant attitude than some people. Respect.

And my job as a mod, is at your entire disposition. Quite simply.

Hope she comes back soon (Woof too ), as for the mod thing, I just don't understand all the fuss, who cares as long as they do their job?

I must admit the site has been a bit dead recently (probably due to lack of games etc)Hopefully it will pick up once we start to play games again, a win might help as well
