regarding the belfast airport/george best thread which was deleted earlier, i just want to clarify one or 2 things

firstly it wasn't a provocative thread, it wasn't meant to cause any aggro. i just dislike false hero-worship. i happen to know a fair bit about alcoholism and am well aware it's a clinical illness not a lifestyle choice so on that count i feel very sorry for bestie and his family & friends. wife-beating, however, is inexcusable. full stop.

i apologise if i caused GENUINE offence to anyone by posting the thread earlier, however i do still think it is inappropriate to name the airport after him and the thread was not meant to cause any aggro

Wheres that topic gone anyway?
Im suprised at Hawkymoon for mentioning John Lennon airport because of it?
Whether or not Best is a legend in Ierland he was a manc legend so his Irish roots dont come into it really and I know Woolly well enough to know he wasnt disrespctin any irish on here FFS.
He's one of the more decent people on here that would'nt cause any offence.
And on an other note I am gona kick off how come Liverpool Anytime is back on here?
This will cause ore upset cause woolly his mate

But I wana know why he has been banned twice and he is floating around again?

Well I didn't see your initial thread Wooly, but I doubt very much you said anything out of turn.

As for the renaming of the Airport - each to their own, but if it were mine, I'd rather call it the "Toilet-roll-holder Airport".

No offence to a dead chap, but he was a nasty bloke to women.
