Started off the rebel International Cricket Corporation in the 1970s. He is also a big wig in the media here in Oz.

I have to apologise, I got Packer mixed up with Rupert Murdoch, of whom you are all only TOO familiar with.

I think the lads could lock this topic. A case of mistaken identity, etc.

Not to mention the brainless fool who started it in the first place!!!  :eyebrow    :no

there a few stories about packer that i heard this morning on talksport,he  was a competitive gambler and once lost 11 million dollars in 1 hour in a vegas casino and one day when he was a table in a vegas casino a texan cowboy with the ten gallon hat was getting boisterous and loud and was :censored: packer off,so packer asked him how much was worth and the texan said 9 million ,packer pulled a coin from his pocket and asked to toss for it.

It was actually 100 million he offered the Texan to toss the coin for, not 9 million.

But he was also extremely generous, he purchased heart monitor and defib machines for ALL the ambulances in New South Wales after suffering a heart attack on the polo field.

He was quite generous, made a lot of donations anonymously.
