Sorry Zarababe, but I thought it was pants!
The effects are great but it's from a book wrote in 1880 and just doesn't translate to the 21st century. They have been better setting it in the 1900's.  Thought that Dakota Fanning was brilliant though. Seen quiet a bit of her stuff and for such a young girl, she's got a number of oscars coming her way in the years to come!!

gotta be the noisiest and most spectacular film i've ever seen and for that alone it's worth seeing (big screen a must), but apart from all that it didn't do much for me

Anyone watched "The Island"?

By the way, one of the classics I love is the Back to the Future Trilogy. Even though its 20 years old, it's still great especially with their humour.

I think it is worth goin to see as the affects are spectecular and can be appreciated on the "big screen" or at home on 42"+ plasma :D

Don't like Cruise.. but he was ok in this one ..

here's a link to the sight for some trailers.. and other bits re:the history :)

i,ve got it on and excellent copied dvd,i thought it was really good especially the special effects, but if i have a gripe about the film i thought it was too short it should have about two and half hours long but other than that it was pretty impresive

Another good couple of films are Danny the Dog (Unleashed) Jet Li and Morgan Freeman.
The Island Ewan MGregor Sean Bean and something something Johanason (girl)

They are both watching two good films.
War of the worlds was good also.    :buttrock
