The executive committee has agreed that a player who appears for a club in any of the preliminary rounds of the Champions League or Europa League can play for another team in the competition proper, so long as his original team is eliminated in the preliminary competition.
"The rules have been relaxed regarding what the English call 'cup-tied' players, that is players who have already played for one team in a competition in a season," said UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino.
"From next season, if a player's club is eliminated and he signs for a new club by the end of the summer transfer window on September 1 he can play for his new club in either competition.
"If he is not signed by the end of the summer window, he can move in the January window."
The one stipulation that remains is that clubs can add up to three new players in January, only one of whom will be eligible if they have previously played in the qualifying rounds.

As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA
Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for
more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally,
however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second or third qualifying
round of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to
play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another
club as from the group stage, provided that his former club did not qualify for
the group phase of either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa
League
; moreover, as from the start of the round of 32 (round of 16 for UEFA
Champions League), a player can be registered in accordance with
paragraphs 18.17 to 18.20 below. For the avoidance of doubt, a substitute
player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing
in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of
the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA
administration in accordance with the present regulations.

Ajax did qualify for the group stages of the champions league. And im just after realising that they
got knocked out in 3rd place in their group so are in the last 32 of the europa league so he's deffinitly cup tied.

So looks like its Andy David and Dirk for us.

Liverpool
Hello everyone. As you guys know from the Press, my transfer to Liverpool is now official. I want to thank Ajax for those wonderful 3 years and a half I spent in Amsterdam, where I've been so happy and pride to wear and defend Ajax colours. Special thanks to all my fans for supporting me and to all people who helped me during last years. I will always have you guys in my heart. I am starting a new adventure now with a very important club. I want to thank them for the strong effort They've done to count on me. I am going to work hard day by day to give them back the trust they have in me. Thank you everybody. C'mon Liverpool

Yep reckon so too. Crouchy had a good record in Europe and heading wasn't even his strength.

His signing may have been overshadowed by the other cunts ,but I have a feeling El Pistelero wont be shoved into the background for much longer .... Top striker at a top club ,with a top manager, partnered by an absolute monster of a player = petrified defences ,nervous managers,   trophies   and another tilt at number 19
