Carlos Tevez's agent has claimed that his charge is nearing a move to England.

Chelsea have been leading the chase in recent months, but Manchester United and Arsenal are also both known to be keen.

Tevez fell out with his Brazilian club Corinthians at the weekend when he walked out following their game with Botafogo - claiming he would not play for them again.

Corinthians coach Emerson Leao has not been shy in condemning the Argentine striker - who looks as if he could be on his way to Europe.

Adrian Rucco, Tevez's agent, admitted a move to The Premiership was on the cards.

"Tevez is very close to moving to an English club," said Rucco.

A host of clubs from Europe are interested in Tevez, with Milan and Bayern Munich also linked.

But Corinthians director Humberto Grondona confirmed that they were under the impression Rucco was setting up a move to England.

"I am convinced that Carlos will go away to some European league," Grondona told La Nacion.

"His representative, Adrian Rucco, was in Rome three days ago and now he has gone to England to look for a club for him."

Reports in France have already stated that Rennes have made contact with Chelsea about the possibility of taking Tevez on loan, should The Blues sign him and decide to let him leave immediately.

Will be a great signing for Man Utd or Chelsea.  His a top top player.  His quick, tehnically v good and strong as well.  Just wish we could compete in the top end of the market and actually have an option in going for World Class players of this calibre.

Apparently he has refused to play for Corinthians, much like essien did to get the transfer done.

this from todays mirror:

BLUES TO GET TEVEZ .. AND LOAN HIM TO RENNES
By Alan Nixon

CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich is planning to sign Argentinian World Cup striker Carlos Tevez - and send him to French side Rennes on loan.

Abramovich has been on the trail of fiery Tevez for a couple of seasons and has close contacts with his Brazilian club Corinthians. Tevez wants out of Brazil and the MSI investment group, who own Corinthians, would like to cash in on him now but Chelsea would not be able to give him a guaranteed game.

Abramovich would keep Tevez sweet by allowing him to play regularly for Rennes.

Then Tevez would be brought back to Stamford Bridge in the next transfer window - or maybe next summer. Corinthians would be paid around £20mil-lion eventually.

Chelsea do not want to see the highly-rated 22-year-old join a Premier or Champions League rival. Chelsea are also working behind the scenes to make sure Spanish international Fernando Torres goes nowhere but Stamford Bridge when he decides to leave Atletico Madrid.

:no  no further comment necessary. these f.uckers will not rest till theyve ruined this 'working class' game of ours that has slowly sunk into unchartered depths since the dawn of Roman Abramovich. into a 'pansy-infested' corrupt, scandal ridden abyss that masqurades as modern entertainment Global style..
which of course it is..
shame, it used to mean so much more than that.

but arent we all hypocrits at the end of the day. come on liverpool!!

:D

Out of Chelsea and Utd, chelsea will always be favourites to get him as they can offer him a lot more.  While they dont need him now they can make sure nobody else gets him. Next season Drogba can go and Tevez can come in.

Or.... they can pay West Ham to sign them on loan for a season, thus eliminating the threat from the scum.

Dear oh dear - the lengths that dirty Russian will go to to ensure he is the best.

Sad Ruskie b*stard.

Loyd Grossman: "Now, who at West Ham could have a rap sheet like this?"

Manhattan: "Lee Bowyer?"

The Argie Coach has been saying that both Tevez and Mascherano should ditch West Ham and move on already.....!
Does anyone else get the feeling that these players were brought in over Pardew's head?

No question and if Pardew doesn't right that ship, he'll be gone soon.  What a c.ock-up this whole move has been for West Ham.  They are a shadow of the side that went at us hammer and tongs (pun intended) in Cardiff last May and I, for one, am disappointed by that.
