Wayne rooney - Why are we not offering money ?

Rooney is a proven goal scorer, why are we at least not putting a bid in ??. Everyone has been putting posts up as to who is going to fill the void left by Michael Owen - I think Rooney is the answer. He is good mates with Stevie G and this may sway SG to stay with us at the end of the current season. Goals are what you need scored to win games and this void that MO has left - can be filled by Rooney. What do we all think ??

Umm when you consider the outrageous fees that Everton is demanding for him, come on they are valuing him for 30 million and the last few bids of 20+ mill have been rejected. Also Benitez also says he won't kill his budget for a single player, which is smart in this case.

I think you have lost it. We don't have the money andthe rest of the team would be upset if that porker ate all the chicken legs at half time

If rooney is worth 30 million..........how much was Owen worth?

I think its a simple matter of him being too expensive.

Rooney is not worth 30 million, the only reason Everton wants that much for him is because they need the money.

Don't be daft, the lad's a disgrace. No moral fibre, no brains etc. Unfortunately, he is on the slippery slope to a lost fortune. Let's hope the Manc's buy him and go down with him !! ???  :suspect:  :glare:

Rooney is bay far not quite the finished article yet, but he has potential. He is coming off from an excellent Eruo 2004 plus the fact that he is English ans still very young, that is why Everton is asking for a ridiculous sum. The'd have to sell him soon at a lower price than what they are holding out for as if he stays and sulk, it would be even worse.

We shouldn't buy just one player, no matter what the price is and no matter how good he is of the fact that he is available and become another Leeds by racking up debts to finance the purchase. One player does not make the whole team.

If I have to choose to buy one player, I would buy Ronaldino than to have Rooney.

Buying a teenage player who may have had a good Euro but hey so did Baros for that sort of money would  make you a good candidate for Leeds financial manager job
