I would like to see a more settled team play for 90 mins tonight, rather than lots of changes. I want to see the best team available put out tonight and another convincing win.

                   Reina

Arbeloa    Carra     Agger       Dossena

Ngog         Alonso      Spearing(Plessis)   Kuyt

                      Torres   Keane

Maybe bring Pacheco and Nemeth on after 60mins.

There should be plenty advice about streams nearer to kick off mate. Just check this thread about 7.30 and you should get sorted no problem.

I am presuming that Degen, Skrtel, Aurelio, Gerrard and Benayoun are still injured and that Kuyt will definately play no matter what I think   :D

Who did I pick that you don't like?

What's this about Benayoun being injured?  I must have missed that news. ???

I'd agree with your personnel, mate, but wonder if we might not see more of the 4-2-3-1 with that group of players:

                      Reina

Arbeloa      Carra      Agger    Dossena

             Alonso      Plessis

     Kuyt          Keane          Ngog

                     Torres

this letter was on football365 yesterday

Please Take Kuyt
My God Rafa, if ANYONE will offer money for Kuyt snatch their hands off, pet their guide dog, kick their walking stick and run fast, run far.

He is hopeless, the worst player I have ever seen. He does nothing on a pitch. The other night against the Norwegian team Rafa put on a lot of kids but left Kuyt on. Surrounded by these kids he looked hopelessly out of his depth. Every attack broke down because of him. Watch how many times he loses the ball, chases back, gives away a foul and berates the ref with a stupid look on his face for having the audacity to give a foul against him.

People say he works hard for the team but so what? Why not get a fit fan from the stands and ask them to run up and down the wing after players and give the ball away? The end result would be the same and at least the fan would be cheaper and wouldn't (couldn't) be as ugly. They already have Mascherano in to work hard for the team, you don't need two donkeys in there.

The other night it was great to see the younger kids play with no fear and enjoyment and to try things off the cuff. I'm not sure was Rafa drunk on the sidelines or did they just do it because of the innocence of youth but it was excellent to see. I know it was only against a Norwegian team in a friendly but having seen them play dour, defensive, puke football for so long I have to clutch at straws.

Spearing, Ngog ? maybe

Unfortunately we don't really have anyone available who can play LM at the moment without damaging their performance, play Kuyt there and it doesn't really matter  :D

I dont know if that would make sense (not saying its wrong) but its our last preseason friendly. Rafa has played by and large a 442 and then to revert back before the serious starts .... I dont know.

Like Saint said, Rafa should look to be playing his best team, and formation, its a bug.ger Gerrard is out.

Give Dossena a go there, he seems more interested in attacking.

What you see as 4-2-3-1  I see as 4-4-2 Bob. I think Keane will move between the two positions, but as a striker will be more inclined to be in the 4-4-2 rather than dropping deep like Kuyt or Gerrard did when they played that role.

6 of one half a dozen of the other for me at the moment.

Not so sure now about Benayoun being injured, I thought I read he had a groin strain but just checked with physioroom and he's not listed.

Reina

               Finnan   Carra      Agger   Arbeloa

            Kuyt :D    Alonso    Plessis   Dossena

                          Keane    Torres

Looks pretty weak without Gerrard and Mascha, and the flanks arent much better off. :(
