I dont think the pitch at Warrington would help him either to be fair.
Coming back from muscle injuries on a bumpy pitch like that is not going to help really.

But what can you do ?
The reserves is the only place where we can try and get him fit.

Feel sorry for him to be honest.

Have you seen that little button that says quote, you might want to try using it, otherwise confusion will reign.

Not when you look at the post above it . cant win - quote posts and then get told cant do that as you get multiple posts - dont quote and then thats not right as well .

Looked good today. Got foward with pace and passed well.

He was a good attacking threat today but he didnt really have any presence about him when he was on the ball and no real confidence in him.

A nice encouraging glympse of what he can do, but i would take Martin Kelly over him any day.

I doubt kelly has done much more than degen to warranty anything , degen was good. Nice pace and some good interchange , couple of more games and we could have our backup to johnson

so you missed the lyon game then ?

Kelly was great.

He has the added bonus of not being injured three quarters of the season.
Ironically kelly is injured now but surely he can stay fit longer or more frequently than degen ?

Anyway tonight i thought - aside from his terrible finish when one on one, degen played really well.

Pity he cant stay fit.

Definitely more of a wingback than a rightback.

I'd stick him on the wing against tired defences - he'll murder them.

Yeah he got pace to burn this lad has at times he looked very jaded today but that is to be expected I guess but when he did turn it on at times he took arsenal apart down the right.

I agree that Degen played a good game however I was more suprised/pleased with Kelly in the game against Lyon. Kelly was fantastic I think.

Am I the only one here that thinks he's a wooden one?

He got forward a fair amount but I was slightly disappointed with his end product and thought he should have done much better with that early chance in their box.  With that said, he hasn't played much, he was in a makeshift side and he was up against some real pace in Gibbs so I don't think he did too badly all told.

I think when fit he would make a decent backup for Johnson. (assuming Kelly stays as a CB)

I wasn't that impressed except for his pace to be honest. He made bad decisions and a foul throw for fecks sake ?? I do not blame him for missing that chance as that was confidence and that could easily be rectified with more games but his overall play seemed unpolished. I hope he improves as he regains full fitness, I guess we'll see.
