thats the typical moaning wenger. He mention the amount of points we have dropped and that we will drop more. What about your own team ya :censored:. They have lost against mediocre teams.

Dunphy can be a bit of a 'headliner' but Giles knows what he's talking about and he's right 99 times out of 100.

Don't think we lack ambition personally , i just think we lack abit of expereince at being top of the league . The likes of the mancs and chelsea have been there seen it and done it . Where as we havent , and i think it's showing abit . It's all good stuff though , onwards we march .

I don't like his philosophy and I don't like the way he wants the game played. Some people here just want to see the league brought home. If we win the league this season, we will go down as the worst team to ever win the league.

Would you care?

That, and the fact that certain parts of the crowd are booing, making the players fear to make mistakes.

Yes, I meant at home.

The West Ham game has done the players in IMO. Only w*nkers boo their own players after a draw which takes you top.

W*nkers, I tell you.

I would, Lando, and I'll tell you why.

Not only am I a Liverpool fan, I'm a football fan. I love football. Everyone here loves football. I want my team to play good football, which, considering the squad available, is attainable. I want to hold my head up high and be able to say 'we gave it our best shot'. That is something I doubt any Liverpool team under Rafa can say.

We do at times seem to prefer not to lose than try to win.
I think that is evident in the amount of games that we drew last season.
Having said that - so far this we have tried to more ambitious at times, city away springs to mind.
Obviously losing our star striker has left us with a huge void, thats more of a reason as to why we havent turned some of the draws into wins imo.

Having Torres out is the main reason why we have drawn the last few matches. It has nothing to do with lack of ambition. "Torres injured" does not make as sexy a thread.

S@int raised a good point with our midfielders not chipping in with enough goals. I commented during the Arsenal game how flat our midfield looked whenever we had the ball. There seemed to be no one wanting to burst a gut and drive forward. Thing is, with Alonso sitting as deep as he does, with Reira hugging the sideline, and Kuyt not being a natural right winger, we're always going to be a bit lacking with goals in this area. Our most attacking mid is Gerrard so it's not really a surprise he gets the goals he does. However, like you said, you take Torres out of our team, and we will struggle, and it's just as basic as that, unless we have a player of equal quality as him to replace him with, which we don't. Before people come rushing and proclaim the Mancs and Chelsea as having the far superior squad, or bash Benitez for his antics in the transfer market, it's worth noting that United won the league last season for the simple reason that Ronaldo banged in the majority of their goals. Had you taken Ronaldo out of United's squad for an extended period of time as Torres has been out of ours, would they have won the title? No f*cking way. Ditto with us I'm afraid. No Torres. No title.

Lack of ambition is probably not the best way to put it.. but theres no doubt in my mind that if Rafa had taken more risks in some of the games we've played this season we would have been better off at this stage ... I bet if someone tells Rafa that he can win a million pounds with a 1 in 4 shot if he puts 100K for a ticket he'd turn it down.. imo thats just the kind of man he is.. he doesnt like taking risks and it shows in our lack of adventure in many games... every season we draw way too many games to be champions... im afraid its the same old story this season... i said it earlier on in the season and everyone got on my back but slowly and surely everyone is starting to realize it now... we havent changed much from last season have we ?
seriously we havent ! Riera is an improvement but then again.. Torres injured... Dossena ? give me riise any day of the week... Kuyt... give me a break !

its all too frustrating watching the team at times... the bloke who said "we'd go down as the worst team in history to win it if we do this year" isnt that far off imo... We havent beaten anyone bar WestBrom convincingly.. we play an agonizing formation that only works imo if you have a brilliant man upfront who can pretty much turn water into wine... what do we do when that man gets injured ? we stick Keane or Kuyt up there ! absolutely ridiculous if you ask me... and im not just talking about the Arsenal game i wont even go on that thread... all ill say is good result but given how the match was going it was pretty much Rafa vs. a god who is a red...

Again for the zillionth time... with Torres out of the side we should just stick to basics against the smaller clubs and stick 2 upfront and rely on every area on the pitch for attacks rather than just one man(Gerrard) and a forward who cant play alone...

Do we lack ambitions ? no...
Is that enough to win us the league ? no

Again, preventing the other team from scoring only gets you so far...

Yep, a team containing world class players would be the worst team to win the Prem. Spot on. In fact, I thought if you won the Premiership you were the best in the country? I must be mistaken.

As long as we win the premiership cares. Obviously you do want to win it in fashion but considering how long its been since we won it i would really care how its done. Also would like to emphasize was what someone said before. no torres no title. SPOT ON
