This is an easy draw for us.

If we failed to progress to win this group, then we are not worthy European Champions anyway.

I can't see any of these teams giving us major problems home or away. I even think we'll beat Galatasaray in Istanbul, especially using Luis Garcia our little Euro Gem.

I will only be worried when the Knockout phase arrives next March, and I wont get excited until then.

I think it's a little early to say the group is easy.Never under estimate any team in the champions league.

Very true, we were expected to get past Benfica, but didn't. United were expected to qualify from their group with ease but failed to do so and us and Porto as well as Monaco have all manged to get to the Champions League final, so the competition is full of surprises.

It's not easy, but I'm confident we can get through to the final 16. I think we can win all 3 at home and at least draw away.

As long as we win all the home games, and draw at least two of the away games, i dont think we will have problems.

I hate this attitude of playing for draws, I went on a rant about this several months ago, so I won't do it again, but every team should go out and play for the win. In my book a draw can be just as bad as defeat and a draw in my book is not an option.

Why are people saying its an easy draw? PSV, bordeaux and galatasaray wont be easy.. Could of been worse but could also have been a lot better..

I'm glad we got this group, it's not an impossible obstacle, but yet it's a challenging one, I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping Luis will perform better than he did against Maccabi Hafia.

I dont mean play for the draw, but play for the win but perhaps end up getting a draw. Obviously try to win the game, but not get beaten !

I do think we are a hard to beat side generally.

It's not always bad not getting and easy group. It means that if you get through to the knockout stage you have already been playing big teams. It makes a difference because if you are used to playing piss easy teams in the group stage and you draw someone like Barcelona in the knockouts, you may get battered because you are used to playing shite in the champions league.

So in a complicated way, I think you know what I mean :D

Oh, sorry, my bad. I thought you were hinting at us playing for a draw to ensure qualification. We are a hard side to beat, it won't be easy for any of the teams that come and face us this season, but at the sametime the teams in our group won't be pushovers and I'm not sure what to expect from any of them, so Rafa and the staff will have a lot of homework to do on these teams.

From a travel stand-point this group is almost perfect for us.  Short trips to PSV and Bordeaux will give the lads a better chance of recovering for the follow-up Premiership fixtures.  Istanbul's more of a haul but we could have done worse ( as in Kiev or Moscow).
