We bought him for £500k and then sold him for £2million, not bad by all accounts. Lets just hope he makes a few blunders in our favour this season.  :;):

Good luck to him, just never quite good enough to wear the red shirt thanks to his uncanny knack of making at least 1 HUGE mistake in every game

£2m is a great bit of business!

Good luck to the guy.
I think he will do well at Charlton in fact!
Given the chance to develop understanding with team mates with regular starts,if he keeps his game simple he could do well.

I cant believe the bitterness towards him with people saying 'good riddance' and 'thank feck hes gone' etc.

OK he had his chance at LFC and he is not good enough but he did try...Good luck to him

ivor_the_injun wrote:It's very nearly bye-bye Djimi - personal terms were apparently agreed for a three-year deal with Charlton on Friday, and a £2m fee has since been agreed with LFC.

The Mirror online reported this yesterday, but it's now being picked up by the Charlton fansites as fact, so I'm assuming at least one of them has done their homework.

Passing reference to a fee being agreed on SSN as well...

Sky Sports report on imminent Charlton signings

From the sound of it, we were looking to offload Traore and Diao as a package, but with Diao failing a medical last week, that's gone out of the window.

Assuming this goes through in the next couple of days, I expect we'll see Kuyt's signing to be soon after. :buttrock

And if £2m is correct, that's a great result for us.  :D

Ive waited a long time for this day.

I thank him only for his 2nd half performance in the final. Apart form that, best of luck now feck of!!!!  :D

I think he'll do rather well at Charlton, not been his greatest fan but I reckon Charlton will be right up his ally.  Good luck to him!!!

I just read it that it is official in the liverpool official site.

I don't know but I kind of miss him already, maybe its the fact that he has a champions league medal and Terry and Lamp don't have?  :D

Wow, 7 years with Liverpool, makes him one of the longest serving players in Liverpool.

Best of Luck Traore, Give it your best shot at Charlton  :D

Was wandering whether the 1.5 millions pounds profit we made over the sale of Djimi Traore due to his superb talent or the champions league medal ? :D

Would love to see him succeed at Charlton, no one can excuse him of not trying, he was pro who gave it all. Still think if he puts on some upper body weight he could be a decent centre back at a club near the bottom of the league.

Poem form LFC official Website

He wears 21
Please don't go one-on-one
With Traore

Please don't look too surprised
When you're sythed from behind
By Traore

When the ball hits the sky
Or its cleared off the line
That's Traore

If you get round the back
And you're suddenly hacked
That's Traore

Yes his footwork is nice
Just like Bambi on ice
That's Traore

He's a Champions League winner
Sometimes saint, often sinner
That's Traore

But whatever you say
He kept Sheva at bay
That's Traore

He's a European Champ
Unlike Terry or Lamps
That's Traore

Played in our finest hour
Better than Beckenbauer
That's Traore

He'll always be a hero
At Anfield not San Siro
That's Traore
