Its a pity to read some negative comments.Morrientes didnt set the world on fire, but he did give 100%.The man has had a great career, and Ifor one thinks he deseves a bit of respect.I wish him well at Valencia and anywhere else he plies his trade.

Good luck Morientes and thank you for the glimpses of magic. It's a shame they couldn't be permanent.

I agree too. I don't know why I keep thinking it was Morientes who chose to leave rather than Benitez selling him. I think being left out of the spanish squad really hurt him.

Good luck to Nando, he gave 110% in every game he played. Sure he was disappointing. I hope he does very well for Valencia and can get back in the Spain squad.

By far his best moment in a Liverpool shirt was his tackle on Gallas in the FA Cup semi-finals. Great challenge :)

Good luck to him.

He never quite clicked, never seemed quite settled.

I wish him the best but Im not sorry he's gone. It's no secret that we need a more prolific goal scorer.

I think with hindsight the writing was on the wall when Robbie signed his new contract. I wish Nando all the best and good luck for the future.

Everyone thought he was a good buy when we got him; now everyone says it's
good that we're selling him.

Rafa doing the right thing again.

it just didnt work out for morientes.  i think playing alongside crouch never helped.  him and crouch was never gonna work as a partnership was it?

also why valencia have signed him i don't know.  they don't need morientes..

Its a pity that Moro didn't work out, as we all agreed that he was a hell of a player when we signed him 18 months ago.

Benitez is a tough man and he has made a lot of bold decisions in his time here. I think his ruthlessness will see him win the Premiership at Liverpool.

Incidentally, BigMick has been vindicated!

At the risk of most people disagreeing with me, I don't think Nando did always give 100%.  It wasn't intentional but he seemed to lose heart part-way through this season.  I remember when he scored against Fulham he hardly celebrated, not because he didn't care, just because he was more relieved than elated.  It will be an even bigger relief for him to leave the Premiership.

I wish him well, he came with high hopes, but you win some you lose some.  This one simply didn't work out.  All the best Nando.

Benitez proves that he's ruthless once again. I've heard that he's a good friend of Nando but obviously that didn't stop Benitez from giving him the boot.

I do feel sorry for him, his family have just now settled and he really did want to prove himself. However at the end things didn't work out and it's a good move imo. BigMick was right when he said that he wouldn't settle in. However when we signed him most people were happy after his season at Monaco.
