No Carragher which is a disgrace in itself. However at least he can't get injured now. :nod

no woodgate?  ???  Sven loves him.

Apparently he was supposed to start but he picked up another injury, i think it was hamstring and limped out of the Real game.

Its a "friendly" and i'm glad carra is not in the squad, a 2 week break will do him the world of good. We all know he is a player that should be in there, come on konchesky or whatever is name is for westham, and bridge for fecks sake he hasn't played yet since being out for nearly 12 months. All in all its a blessing carra being given a rest.He will be in the squad for the world cup thats a cert especially for his adaptibility. The way the lad is playing terry and carra could forge a pairing for the world cup, cambell has had his day, ferdinand is a quality player but that coke is catching up with the lad. He needs to get back to his football and leave the dust alone.

It's great news that Carra isn't in the squad, he deserves a break.

Could'nt agree more A.B.

For those saying Carra and Terry would make a good partnership, you are getting it all wrong IMVHO. They are both too alike each other, and you can gaurantee, that if and when either of them play, they will be partnered by Rio/Sol, as they compliment the others attributes better, especially when it comes to the speed department.

the reason carra's not in the squad is cos he's injured. Very strange news though cos there has been no news of any injuries to carra at all from the official site but several sources are reporting that carra's ommission from the england squad is due to injury.

Cant remember where i read a few of them but one of them is on www.socccernet.com

seems that both carra and woodgate were supposed to be in this squad but both were omitted due to injury.

Carra is always a guy that likes to play as the last defense because he is able to see everything happening in front of him. To me, Sami is the perfect fit for Carra as Sami is if not still one of the best in the Air in the EPL. They complemented each other so well and I think they are even better than the pairing of Sami and Stephane couple years ago.

Carra and Terry is quite similar in their style and that's why Carra didn't seem as outstanding when playing for England. Sometimes they overlap and didn't know what to do as their responsibility is not as clear. Carra also had only played very few international game and I'm sure he willbe more comfortable when he gets to play more often.
