Not that it matters but not everyone has been included in the stay list.

The gaffa is going no where like it or not, he`s already signed a player who should give us a bit more bite for next season, a couple more of the same ilk and we`ll not have another season like this.

He should have signed a striker.

Typical Rafa

Sorry mate, when? Jovanovich is an attacking player, comfortable on the left or upfront.

Only a year too late  :no

Why wasnt an attacking player signed preseason or in jan ?

So is Jovanovitch going to be a the saviour in the same way as Aquaman has been?  :no

Who said that?
And why do you have to finish every post with one of these. :no

:no  OK I'll start each post with one instead happy?  :wwww

You were indicating that Jovanovitch would turn our fortunes around and I am simply stating that that was what Aquaman was supposed to do and hasn't.

BTW £20 million+ on Aquaman and £18 million on Johnson are not exactly peanuts.

I dont have all the answers, wish I did but I would say the main reason was money, its hard to bring in quality players who will improve us on a shoe string so instead we are having to wait for players to become free.

now you will get all the... rafa has spent mill and mill of £££ before

but i agree with you there is / was no money to go and get what we need and i can not see where it is going to come from so like you said he has to go and look for what he can going free or cheap

you are right in the fact £20 mill for aqua and £18 mill for johnson is a lot of money and as yet we wait to see if it was worth it??

johnson i think is worth if not £18 mill then very close

aqua, we still have wait to see if he will become a great £20mill player but i never expected him to be a wonder bolt from the off, it was never going to happen, from what i have seen i do think he will come good when he is used and used right

Nobody can justify the Aqualani signing.  The board should never of sanctioned such a move for a player who was injured.  Madness!!

Just take a permanent break and give our head's peace.

I am just saying that when we had an injury prone Torres and our only other striking options were Ngog and Voronin, perhaps we should have made this position a priority.

He was an example of a player that cost nothing, and lets be honest we could have done with someone that scores goals couldnt we ?

only kidding -its a fair comment

huge huge baggage comes with him because of history with the club and i don't think it was a viable option because of that

Right lets get this right , it's all well and good critisizing Rafa on his decission making or his team tacticts or subs or whatever like that . That's all fair enough , but you cannot expect him to sign someone with something he hasn;'t got namely money .

Arbeloa wanted to go back to spain , so we needed a right back . Rafa decided this would be an attacking right back as it would help us create and score more goals . So he signed Johnson , i destintley remember people on here creaming themselves at the prospect (i wasn't one of them ) ..

He signed Aquilani on thr proviso that he would still have enough money to buy a quality striker , the money was taken from him to pay the clubs debts . Don't believe me ? I can't help that , you'll have to trust me on that one .

January tranfer window . We at SOS were screaming right from the start of the window that Rafa had no money to buy players and it wasn't even a gimme that he would get the money from players sold . He recouped roughly £7m from player sales in Jan and got maxi on a free . Now ben you do the math .

ps a little edit .

Michaels owen = Rafa doesn't rate him . It is well know in jounalists circles that Owen is a crock , his body can't take it anymore . See if fergie keeps him in the summer . Again you'll have to trust me /or not on that one .

Why sign maxi in january than a striker ?

Disregarding everything else you said as it cant be proved one way or the other.

Btw i think Johnson is a top player, but if money was that tight then perhaps he could have signed a cheaper alternative and brought another body in to boost the woeful striking options.

Its indefensible to me mate.
