So who comes in for him next season? It would be good if Voronin got the flick instead. Then we'd have Torres, Kuyt, Babel, Crouch and a Santa Cruz or Young or someone. Very formidable choices.

peter crpuch imo is worth the 15mil rafa has stated, i know its just a top end marker and hed only get 15mil or less, but Crouch is worth it, he has made him self into a world known striker, he has to amazing feet for his height and a very skillfull player, the only thing lets him down which is ironic is his heading lol, but like i said hes well worth the 15mil,

That is not a bad deal , he's a good winger and pops with the odd goal every now and then . would be worth a punt i reckon

Well for one he's more consistent and also he takes some very good free kicks , and he can also beat his man better then yossi , the only thing yossi is better then him is his ball control

Krancjar (however its spelt) is not a winger.
He is a decent player but definately not what i would call a winger.

According to stats, Crouchie has played 85 games for LFC (including sub appearances) and has scored 22 goals. That's pretty impressive IMO for a guy who's been bullied and ridiculed by opposition fans constantly since he joined us. Crouch has done everything he can as a LFC player and he's been a success IMO. I think 15M is unrealistic, but 10M isn't. If someone offered 10M for him, we should sell, but only if we were assured of getting someone better like Huntelaar.

Agreed, he's typically an attacking CM but he's currently playing on the left in a three because he's technically quite astute, and Pompey don't really have a winger/attacking left player, but they do have an abundance of CM's. He often cuts in from the left to shoot and create.

Though he had played more than that Manhattan, stats are played 135, scored 42.

manhattan has it down as 85.
thingy has it down as 145
lfc.tv has it down as 135
liverweb has it down as 134

poor old crouch, he's been brought on as a sub that many times nobody knows how many appearances he actually has made. I'll go for the lfc.tv one though, probably the safest best.

lets just say on average we play 60 games a season (we would of had we reached the european cup final this year, and considering we've reached finals in crouch's other two years i'll use 60 games as a benchmark) 180 possible games, he's been involved in 135 of them, coming off the bench 41 times and being subbed himself a further 58 times. so out of 135 games Peter Crouch has taken some part in for Liverpool Football Club he's completed a pathetic 36 matches. The fella has been hard done by, no other explaination for it.

big mistake letting him go.

divvy, you can't even type the number 3 correctly  :no

:D

still staggers me though, that for a man benitez bought for 7 million, he's only allowed him to complete 36 games. some people were very quick to say "peter crouch has failed to scored in 100 games" will those same people be quick to point out that if Crouch starts against Spurs and is brought off or if Crouch is on the bench and brought on that would be the 100th time Peter Crouch has failed to complete 90 minutes for Liverpool? I highly doubt we'd see this stat from those few.

(name's bill, but GBJH if you prefer)

Really , i thought he was a winger ash he's playing there for pompey and coratia , but he would be wort a punt , as he does do a good job as a winger

Personally, I will be really sorry to see Crouch go. Rafa's right to stick a £15M price tag on his head too. Charlton got £18M for Bent last year who had only proved himself in the Premiership. Crouch is a proven goal-scorer in the Premiership, Champions League and also at International level. I'm sick of seeing our players go for bargain prices when shit teams are getting small fortunes for mediocre tat!
