It was nice last night to watch Liverpool and not be on edge for 90 minutes. The game was killed off early with the two goals and it was a great first half to watch, like Benitez has said we've played better this season but the result is what mattered and to do what we did away from home really sets the standards of what can and should be achieved away from home.

Someone previously posted about Warnock, how he had a good game and that there are hopes he will feature more often. I'm with you on that one, he gives 110% every time and is comfortable pressing as where Traore looks edgy.

to answer your question, dalglish, i'm beginning to think the real liverpool is the one turning up at european matches (most of the time). i don't know what the reason is. maybe the kind of players we have? garcia and biscan have certainly looked different players in both games against liverpool, nunez has looked good and gerrard always seems to be more bothered. not sure if its a permanent attitude of some of the imports or maybe a true sign that they're class who haven't adjusted to the prem yet. and maybe a sign that some of our more established players are only really concerned about being on the big stage.

I think when gerrard plays the attacking midfielder we allways look so much better. But when Hamaan aint playing and Alonso injured who else can play the defensive midfielder? Defensive may not be the right word but we defo need to let SG play in the free role pushing forward and have someone else breaking up the play.

I think Finnan and Warnock were fantastic last night.  I hope both are given chances to establish themselves as our regular full backs.

Also, I noticed that when Carra was being interviewed last night after the game that his hair starting to go a bit grey.....I always said that playing alongside Hyypia would age him quickly.

i think its because they havent adjusted to the prem yet, in garcia and nunez. They havent seem to quite grasp the concepts of the prem league. The results from previous games in the prem they looked flat. I say the verdict should not be out on them yet. The test will be next season, when they have gotten to know their teamates and have had a good offseason of training with. I think we will turn out like the Garcia and nunez of yesterday for all of the seasons to come.
