Diouf has proved how inept Houllier and Benitez are, by doing the business for Bolton. What Liverpool fans have to realise is that, you do not win the African footballer of the year two times over players like Okocha, Eto'o etc if you are rubbish.

At Liverpool, he was played out of position for almost a season, whilst Owen missed sitter after sitter! The whole team was structured around Owen and other players were not given a fair run in the team. Let's not forget, Baros came into contention after he had a blinder at the European championship.

Benitez has taken Liverpool a step back, by recruiting second rate Spanish footballers who would never make the grade at teams like Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Liverpool will be forced to sell Diouf for cheap to Bolton and he will score a hat trick in front of the Kop next year and you would hate Diouf even more. Benitez, should have never loaned out Diouf. He has been made a scapegoat by Houllier who lacked the bottle to play Diouf as his main striker. Diouf playing alongside Owen, would have given Houllier a better chance, as he would have got loads or freekicks in dangerous areas, as well as create and score more goals.

Well, that is water under the bridge and Liverpool's loss is the more tactical and shrewd manager Sam Alladyce's Bolton's gain... hahahahahahaha!

Bolton will soon overtake Liverpool with Diouf, the "rubbish" players goals!

Blinker yourselves all you want by calling him gay or whatever, the bottom line is that he has been more consistently effective than Baros this season. He's making an absolute mockery of the decision to leave him out on loan.

He's precisely the kind of player we need in two-leg European competition. He gets under his opponents' skin, invites rash challenges and gets hacked to shreds on a regular basis, yet comes back for more each and every time. Defenders in CL teams on a yellow card would absolutely hate to go up against him. Had he been in our team in the first leg against Leverkusen, half their team would probably be suspended for the second leg.

I'm far from impressed with a lot of his behaviour, but anyone that doesn't agree he's been one of the best strikers in the Premiership is just wrong. His antics are not always good to watch, but it's part of his game, and very f*cking effective at that.

I always maintained that Diouf was a good player despite some of his disgraceful on the pitch antics. Unfortunately he was vastly overpriced.

I think the problem under Houllier was that Houllier didn't know how to push his buttons, to instill confidence yet discipline at the same time. And let him do what he does best.

So we kinda got the worst and the brunt of his childlike temperament I suppose. Like a teenager lashing out all the time (in his case spitting) when he could react better to situations.

Diouf, as a Liverpool reject, could not really haggle to make their money back. They will forever rue sending him off on loan. Liverpool will be 6th in the league, their worst position in a long time!

by the great one
I was upset with the comments he made when he left about the cliques in the dressing room and especially talking to the S*n about it.I didn't understand why Benitez is willing to bring Le tallec after he demanded a starting place and cnt cut it in France ??? but is unwilling to give Diouf a chance good coach gets the best out of any players and Rafa should of gave Diouf a chance im sure he would of got the best out of him :)
