Mourinho himself said that he would rotate the squad in the FA cup, the Carling Cup, Champions League and the EPL because of the injuries they've had and the fact that he doesn't want to get any more players injured.
Today they got Gallas,Bridge and Robben injured. So you're telling me that Mourinho will play his best players in the little cup compared to the CL and the Premier League. It's not going to happen. Chelsea will have still good players if they were to play their reserves or if they were to mix up the starting 11 but take in consideration that we outplayed their strongest side at home then imagine what could happen with their weak side.
