Thats right Taff , one of the Burnley board was interviewed before the game moaning that he hoped it wouldn't be cancelled cause burnley would lose their TV money . Meanwhile the pitch behind him looked like something from the 1st Battle of the Somme .

I didnt even know the FA had a pitch task force team and the fact they recommended calling it off in the morning just annoys me more
There was no way that game was being played and Liverpool like it or not have fans from all over the country and some of those would have made their way to the ground
I know TV money is essential to clubs but if Burnleus season is based on Sky money from an FA cup game against a big club that boils down to luck of the draw then they are in serious trouble, events like this should be a bonus
There was absolutely no consideration for travelling support both home and away ( I imagine Burnley fans from around the country would have made their way to this game) And the fact that an FA pitch team was there IMO just makes this a worse issue as it was blatantly about the tV money.
I dont want a I go to the game debate etc but IMO fans who go to live games should get first consideration at all times regardless of any consequence

SSN have just had the Burnley Chief Exec (boo, hiss, lol) on.
He says the covers will come off at 5pm and it takes 45 mins to remove them, so I reckon no decision till at least 6 pm. Of course this is no help to those travelling....

If this game doesnt go ahead tonight it should be switched to anfield Gang of scruffs
.
The state of the Turf Moor pitch is still the hot topic ahead of the rearranged FA Cup third round tie between Burnley and Liverpool, live on Sky Sports 1.
It is still not certain if the tie will be played, despite huge efforts from the Burnley ground staff to avoid a repeat of the rained off fixture on January 7.
A section of the pitch has been re-turfed, but yet more rain and overnight snow have again put the game in doubt.

at this stage, there is a 65% chance of the game being called off.

Looks like the bookies are a bit corrupt

Trouble is, they sent the groundsman out to get some turf but he went up to his hovel up on the moors and came back with a van-load of soggy peat bog
