Tragic news and very sad day for the city of Liverpool.

Brilliant servant to the club, always missed his smile.

You'll Never Walk Alone

Rest in Peace, Emlyn

A legend has gone, but will never be forgotton.

Emlyn is my all time idol in a Liverpool shirt (Hence my username), i had the pleasure of seeing him play as a child and meeting him several years ago at a dinner function where he gave an after dinner speech.

He is and was an absolute inspiration on and off the field.

R.I.P. Crazyhorse.:(

Geat idea - some sort of memorial or tribute would be fantastic.

There will a minutes silence at the Middlesborough game tomorrow, i hope that is just the start.

Probably League cup as only trophy he never won at Anfield.

Worth a look at the tribute from 'Tosh on Liverpool oficial site, shows how well loved Emlyn was.

R.I.P. Emlyn Hughes
Tragic news and a sad loss at 57 years of age. Supreme footballer, European cup winner, England captain, TV personality and overall nice bloke with huge enthusiam and appetite for football and more importantly LIFE. I had the pleasure to meet him about 20yrs ago and he gave up so much time to sign autographs and have his photo taken with kids. My lasting memory of him was on grandstand back in april when he was interviewed at aintree on grand national day, when asked how he was feeling as he was undergoing hospital treatment he replied "oh theres a lot more people worse off than me darling!" - positive and smiling as ever. My thoughts go out to his family.
Crazy Horse, you will never walk alone.

I think it's all been said on here, R. I. P Emlyn. No body has given more for Liverpool than this guy did.

I can remember him playing for Wolves against us.  He got an amazing reception and he was beaming.

I can remember trying to work out if he was right or left footed such was his comfort on either foot.

He had presence and played really well.  I can't remember the score, it was away at Wolves with my Dad.

RIP and thoughts go out to his family.
