Barcelona are in major debt as are virtually every other big Spanish or Italian club (Real Madrid, Deportiva, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma, Parma, Lazio, Internazionale etc) but Barca have savings of around £60 million for transfers. Plus they are still a huge name (so are Liverpool but Barca have a better current reputation).
Liverpool's only in £10 million debt according to the Four Four Two top fifty rich list.
